Flash Player 16 Issue

Hi Everyone, 

Adobe released Adobe Flash Player 16 on December 9, 2014 and, as a result, Articulate Storyline won’t open. Published content isn’t impacted.

We’re working fast and furiously to fix the issue and will release updates for Storyline 1 and Storyline 2 as soon as humanly possible.

*UPDATE* The issue has been resolved for Storyline 2 and Storyline 1. Please upgrade to the latest version of Storyline 2 or Storyline 1 as appropriate. Updates for other products are in progress.

Amazing work Articulate! I literally finished uninstalling the latest Windows update, and then kept reading the thread and bam! the update to SL2 came!

BTW, the Windows unistall did work:

Take these steps to be certain you want to remove an update:
Open Installed Updates by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then, under Programs and Features, clicking View installed updates.
Select the update that you want to remove, and then click Uninstall.

OK, so now I got Storyline1 update. I reinstall the MS update that broke Flash and everythings works so far.

NOW, HOW DO I get this forum to stop sending every post on this subject. I cannot find any option on my account to NOT SEND replies from forum to me. PLEASE STOP THE INSANITY !

I kind of wish I never posted anything here, if I get keep getting tons of others post from others on this subject.

 

Also add page totals to this forum e.g PAGE 12 of 1,235,266

Hi All,

This has been a useful thread, thank you.

I have had the issue in Windows 8.1 for both Storyline 1 and 2.

I uninstalled Windows Update Item KB3008925 and both Storyline 1 and 2 could be used.

I then followed articulate instructions and updated both products with the latest patch.  Both products operated ok.

I then reran Windows Update (to replace KB3008925) and this broke the patched versions of Storyline 1 and 2.  This is across multiple laptops all running 8.1.  Articulate the patches have not resolved the issue!

I have uninstalled KB3008925 again.  Please fix this issues ASAP as it is a big ask for a user to know how and where to manually manage this KB3008925 to allow them to continue working (as Windows update is set to occur automatically and I do not wish to take the risk of turning off automatic updates - personal choice yes).

my problem is that when I click on the link you passed me, at any time I am redirected automatically and quickly to "https://es.articulate.com/products/storyline-why.php"  where only I found the link to download SL2. I tried modzilla, explorer and chrome and always happens the same. What is happening?

Sounds like you may be trying to download the Storyline 1 update (and you have your language preference set to Spanish).

Currently, our Spanish site is focused on Storyline 2 only (that download is accessible via the Spanish website here).

To download the Storyline 1 update, please do this:

  1. Visit any page such as the one you noted.
  2. In the footer, change your language preference to English: 
  3. Click the link to download Storyline 1 update.

At this point your language preference will now be saved as English, so if you prefer to switch back to the Spanish microsite, please use the language toggle, which you'll find on pages like this.

Eeeeps... installed the update for Storyline 1 and when I opened the program it started a 30 day trial on my licensed software?

It's the same with each update (wich actually are full installs)

Just go to Help / Activate / Activate with your serial number (your serial is already typed there) !
