I purchased Storyline 3 in order to avoid the Flash problems that will come at the end of the year. Am I correct in understanding, that as I import my quizzmaker and engage from Studio 13 into Storyline3, that the flash issues are resolved automatically?
This did not work so well for me. After importing my Engage 13 interaction into my Storyline 3 course, I published it onto our Articulate Online account. I then launched the course using my Google Chrome browser. When the course got to the interaction slide, I received a message that "The flash player is blocked", and could not continue from there. What can I do to address this?

Thank you for checking in, and I'm sorry you're affected by this bug.
Though we don't have a timeline to share right now, it is on our radar. We'll update you as soon as we can.
For now, would it work for you and your team to create the interaction in Storyline 3? I know that may not be ideal, so we're here to extend a hand. If you could share the project, please use this link:
I don't have an update to share on this bug where an imported Engage interaction does not load when viewing the HTML5 version of the course. We don't have this bug on our roadmap yet as our team is currently prioritizing other bug fixes. If our team reroutes, we'll update you in this discussion.
I have a similar issue, my file is a simple one with 6 buttons linked to flash movies that contain animation. From Storyline 2 I upgraded to Storyline 3 but the output will not play. Is there anyway I can get some help to fix this issue please.
Hi I originally purchased ASL2 a good few years ago. I went to update some slides & all of a sudden I see they will not play. Please see attached. Any advice? many thanks.
Thanks for your response Phil, I knew something was happening but have been away working etc So I am hoping that there is a solution to this. What is the best way to proceed as I have lots of stuff written in SL2?
SL3 or SL360 will both open the files there may be a little work required however the process of upgrading files has got much better.
The output form SL3 or 360 are much better and works in more browsers at the moment with the death of flash your content will only work in Safari or Chrome
OK Phil thanks, not sure if this is the right place to ask but since I already paid for SL2 is there a discount for 360 since I already own SL2 ? Thanks

FYI, I published the course using the "html only" option.

Hi, I am having the exact same problem as Doug with 3 different course projects. Has this been resolved or is there a resolution?

Are the flash files SWFs or FLAs?
Storyline will convert FLAs to MP4s on publish although I don't know how long that will be an option or if it will get removed.
Storyline does not do anything to SWF files you would need to convert those yourself.
These are Engage Interaction slides not MP4 files. Please review the uploads I provided in the ticket.
@Mario sorry I was replying to Cindy. I don’t work for Articulate so do not get to see anything you submitted.

Thanks Phil,
I worked hard to put it together from Flash to Storyline, but seemed to have lost all my FLAs and therefore had to use SWFs.
Is there anyway to convert SWFs to either MP4s or any other format?
Hope to get some solution. Thank you kindly.
Hi I originally purchased ASL2 a good few years ago. I went to update some slides & all of a sudden I see they will not play. Please see attached. Any advice? many thanks.
SL2 uses flash in the authoring environment unfortunately now this has been discontinued and removed from most machines it will no longer work.
Thanks for your response Phil, I knew something was happening but have been away working etc So I am hoping that there is a solution to this. What is the best way to proceed as I have lots of stuff written in SL2?
Hope there is a way to save all my stuff!!
Many thanks,

At present I can edit the slides but not preview them. So if I upgrade to 360 it solves all these issues?
Yes will fix that
OK Phil thanks, not sure if this is the right place to ask but since I already paid for SL2 is there a discount for 360 since I already own SL2 ? Thanks
I don't work for Articulate, you could ask their customer support. There is a 60 day free trial.
OK Phil many thanks for your help. All the best
