flashing or blinking lines...

I Have created a diagram where I want to show a "path".  I have drawn lines from one thing to the next - is there a way to show the lines blinking or flashing?  I checked in animations but that only addresses what the line does as it is introduced and as it leaves the slide...

Hi Kristin,

The animations in Storyline are very limited but there is a way to achieve what you are wanting to by using the timeline.

  1. Create several duplicates of the existing line you have.
  2. Set their appearance on the slide to a 1/2 second
  3. Stagger their position on the timeline so they appear after each other
  4. Select all lines and use the align tool to position them on top of each other
  5. Make sure that the first line to appear is at the top of the timeline, the second line is next etc.

I have attached a quick demo which will hopefully make my explanation clear.
