Disappearing dropped object in custom Drag n Drop slide

Apr 23, 2018

Greetings,

I've been encountering a problem with a Drag n Drop slide, using custom shapes instead of SL3's design. Everything works fine, expect that when I go to the next slide, be from the base layer or from the feedback layers, the last object I dropped disappears. It reappears when I revisit the slide, as it is set to "resume saved state".

I've tried every single trick in the book, using saved states, variables, different shape states, different objects to be dragged, result slides, no result slide, name it. The last dropped object, regardless of which one has been dragged and where it has been dragged, always disappears as the slide transitions to the next. It seems that I run into a recent glitch after updating SL3 with custom drag n drop slides, as even my previous projects didn't have this as of April 11th, 2018.

Is there a way to keep every object on screen? Has the recent update glitched something?

Please find attached a mock-up of a custom drag n drop slide illustrating the problem in question.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, JC! Circling back to share that we just released update 6 for Storyline 3 - check out all the enhanced features and fixes here!

One of the fixes addresses the issue where the last drag item in a drag-and-drop interaction would disappear after completing the interaction in the HTML5 output.
