FLV Content not displaying in Storyline
Sep 21, 2012
I am putting Flash movies that use FLVPlayBack components to display .flv video content into my Storyline project. This .flv content has embedded Event cue points that drive the .swf content timeline using event listeners. My problem is that the first .swf load its .flv content without issue, but the very next slide loads the correct .swf, but no .flv content. If I close the browser and re-launch, the Storyline project asks if I'd like to resume. If I say no, the project launches the first .swf which loads its .flv content fine, but the next .swf loads but does not display its .flv content. If I say yes, the .swf that previously didn't work loads its .flv content fine, but if I click the previous item in the menu, the first .swf loads but does not display its .flv content. Anyone have a clue? I'm open to suggestions.

Hi Jeffrey,
Have you tried changing the slide properties to 'Reset to Initial State?' It does sound like a bug, and I'm not sure if that will help, but it's worth a try.
Hi Laura,
Thanks for the suggestion ... but changing from 'Automatically Decide' to 'Reset to Initial State' had no effect. I've submitted the issue to Articulate Support. I was hoping that someone on the Forum might have encountered something similar.
Thanks again,
Jeff
Hi Jeffrey,
Welcome to Heroes. Take a look at this Knowledge Base Article.

Thanks All!
I got the message ... get away from AS2 and adopt AS3. The course I'm converting is legacy stuff and I guess digging into it and changing the coding was just overdue ... thanks for the push.
