Hi Walt, those look interesting. Stykz doesn't appear to have been updated recently. They look like they're mainly for stickman animations? Have you got any examples you've created that you can share?
The only thing I've done recently was a stick animation, but YouTube is full of examples, although I don't know how good they are.
You can use shapes instead of men, you can change the length, color, and width of lines, you may even be able to import graphics. A little creativity, and you can make a realistic looking folder. Their strength is the animation, and all that takes on your part is patience and care to detail to create lots of little steps.

Hi Kaitlin, can you elaborate on what you are looking for? An animation of a computer folder opening?
I find the variety of animations / transitions a little limiting in SL sometimes. Have you considered using a video?
With a little effort, you'd be surprised at the kind of animation you can create with Pivot or Stykz (both free).

You can use states to do this relatively easily. I've attached a VERY rough sample :)
