I'm translating text from English to Kazakhstan and for some reason when copying and pasting from a word doc to Storyline into a variable box the font changes. It's fine when copying outside of the variable box btw. Is there a catch to using a variable for text?
Have you tried copying from notepad or similar? I know Word can carry over some of the odd formatting and therefore cause issues with copy/paste. Also have you looked at doing the translation as an import instead?
Thanks for your advice. Yes, I tried from notepad as well, same issue. It's strange, when I copy the text it automatically changes some of the characters over to different ones. Yet, when I 'google' translate the changed word it's correct.
For example the word 'странице' originally had a letter 'M' as the second letter...but this character consistently changes to 'T'.
Are you trying to use the same font across both Word and Storyline? Is your system set up with Kazakhstan as the language input? So the word is considered correct but just with a different spelling per Google?
