Font changes to power point imported to storyline 2

Jul 25, 2016

I have imported a power point presentation to my storyline 2 content.  The power point font is Arial.   The font looks clear and fine in the power point but after importing it when I preview it and when published it produces a shadow effect making it very difficult to read.  I can't figure out why this is happening and I haven't been able to fix it by making changes to the font of the power point.  Help please?

Hi, Laura -- Thanks for your reply! First, I'd like to mention in case you weren't aware, when you reply to a forum notification via email, the details in your signature are visible publicly here in the forum post. To remove that info, you are welcome to use the EDIT button below your reply.

And as the font was Arial in PowerPoint before import to Storyline, and I have not located an instance where this has been reported, perhaps our Support Engineers could investigate further. Please use the steps here to create an Articulate package of your original PowerPoint file, and then also share the .story file after import for their review. Here is the form you would need to submit those files, and if you are able to share your case number, we will be glad to follow along!

Hi, Laura -- Thanks for your reply and sorry to hear that you're having troubles creating your Articulate package! Unfortunately, when your reply via email, and attachments you intended to share are not transmitted to be visible/accessible here in the post itself. Please click here and use the grey ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left of the reply box to reload the error image.

Hi, Laura -- Thanks for the screenshot and hmmmn, that is peculiar! As you can see in the screenshot below, you should have the option to choose Articulate Package from just below the Email option, and I see that is missing from your list of choices.

I am going to do a bit more investigation to see if I am able to isolate a reason for this, so I will be in touch as soon as possible!

Hi, Laura -- I reached out to some of my colleagues and passed along the screenshot you shared and it appears that there may be an issue with your installation of Studio on your machine. Please use the steps here to repair and/or uninstall and reinstall Studio, and let's see if that causes "Articulate Package" to reappear in your list of options.

Apologies for the miscommunication we had here, Laura! I was under the impression that you were using PowerPoint in conjunction with Studio '13, which was why I was asking for the Articulate package. Since you are not using Studio, you should be able to attach the original .pptx from which you were importing and also the .story file after import and send them along to our Support team for additional insights.
