I have to develop training for global use, which means I have to be able to convert it to several langaues. Does anyone know which font works best when converting from English to Japanese or Chinese?
I would suggest using a Unicode font. The one that people are likely to have is Arial Unicode which should work well for your conversion/translation. If you aren't a fan of Arial — which I'm certainly not — you should be able to change it to something else after the import. The Unicode fonts should contain all of the Chinese and Japanese (and other language) characters you need in the single font.
Hi, I just started using Storyline3 for Japanese Training materials. First, I had difficulties such as not working preview and publishing, then I found out I used wrong font. as you suggested, my problem was solved to use Arial Unicode. However, I wonder if I can use other font for Japanese.
I hadn't heard of that font before, but I did look it up and it appears to be a Sans serif font. I'd still look at using a Unicode font set up. I did a quick Google search and found a few options that you may want to look at here.

Hi Maki,
What other fonts are you looking to use? We recommend using the Unicode fonts for the best results with non-Western text.
Thank you for your reply. How about Meiryo ? I used it for the other contents.
