Font of menu too small to read in Parallels virtual machine on Mac

Feb 24, 2015

I have installed Articulate Storyline and Articulate Replay on my mac, and while Reply works fine, Storyline is unusable as the test of the menu is too small to read. Is there a way I can change the screen resolution of the program ? (I am not talking about a published project. The entire program is far too small to even start or open a project!)

I'm attaching a screenshot. See how much smaller the "Help" text in Articulate is at the top left of the image as compared to the "Articulate Storyline" text at the top left?

small small itty bitty articulate storyline

Thank you!

I have had this problem using Windows 10 and Parallels (I cannot use SL2 on my Mac unless it is plugged in to an external monitor as the text and menus are too small).

I discovered that by changing the settings in the Parallels Configuration panel so that graphics are set to "SCALING' as opposed to "OPTIMIZED FOR RETINA" then SL2 is useable on the Mac's screen.

This behaviour does not occur with any other Windows programme running on my system so it is definitely something that needs to be addressed.

What about a native Mac version  ;-)

Hi Martin,

We have included some additional steps to change the display within the VM, and I personally also use a Mac with VMWare and Windows 8.1 or 10. I'm glad you were able to find those as well and have it be usable on the Mac set up.

I know a native Mac version has been a popular feature request, but we don't comment on our product road map or timeline for new releases - but you're welcome to continue to share your thoughts here and as a part of the feature request form.
