Hi there. I recently published a player and noticed how grainy the font was. I was wondering if there's any suggestions on how to improve the quality of the font. Could it possibly be the font I'm using (Arial), or perhaps just the size of my player (Default)?
Does the font seem grainy when you're working in the file, or after you've published?
The first thing I would check is your DPI settings. Storyline doesn't currently support 120 DPI. If your system is set to 120 DPI, you may experience erratic behavior, such as:
* Elements of the application are misplaced or distorted.
* Objects are misplaced or distorted when previewed or published.
* Zoomed images don't work as expected.
* Font sizes are incorrect after using the translation features.
Thank you for your response. I tried your method and my system's display was already at 96. I got the feedback from a third party viewing the player and I too noticed the grainy fonts on a live player. The fonts look fine while I'm editing the project, only when I publish/preview does this happen.
Thanks for getting back to me! Are you able to share the .STORY file here so I can take a look? Or, if you'd like, you're welcome to send it over to us privately.

Here's how you can switch to 96 DPI:

If this is only happening while you're in Slide View, try to make sure that your Zoom settings are set to 100%.
Thanks!
