Fonts and Sizes To Avoid?
Jun 05, 2012
Just submitted this as bug. Look at the line of regular 14-point Arial Narrow text below and the spacing between some of the characters (especially the "t's). Far too tight. Ughs . . .
Have also tried various bolding and italics combinations of these same lines and they all work just fine, even the ones at 14-point.
Unfortunately my client requires Arial Narrow for a project I'm working on (it's a corporate font).
Question--any other mainstream fonts and sizes that, for now, we should avoid using due to issues like this? Or should "narrow" fonts just be avoided if possible?

Strangely - I do not see that in Arial Narrow 14-pt at all.....

Must be because you have the English version of Arial Narrow and not the American one . . .
Seriously, thanks. Have to try this on my laptop now.
If you have defragged recently it will do this to save on disk space.
Maybe

ROTFLMAO. Reminds me of a classic Dilbert cartoon and the "boys" mentoring the Boss on the use of the PC and disk space.
...probably where I got the idea
Hmm, same thing on my laptop . . .
@Bruce--do you use a Mac or a Windoze PC?
Maybe it has something to do with your screen resolution.
@Nancy--thanks for the idea. Interesting thought . . .
On my dual monitors, I'm running 1680 x 1050 and 2560 x 1440, both the recommended settings for both monitors. In Storyline itself, zoom is set to 100%. Still see the issue. Also tried another laptop from my former employer and it has the issue.
Just got this from Articulate support: "I am able to replicate the issue so thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have forwarded this to our Quality Assurance team for further review. I will get back to you should I receive a feedback."
