I am using Storyline 2 to create several large software simulations.
I want to change the caption look and feel from the default and save the custom caption look and feel so that every time I create a simulation, the captions use the custom look and feel.
If you click on the Caption > Drawing Tools/Format > Shape Outline then you should be able to control this color outline or remove it completely if needed.
is there a way to add captions in the video mode of my screen recording? or make the view mode a single video? I need to enable the learner to be able to play and pause the view mode of the simulation as they please. I do not want to use the seek bar of the player template
I would like stand alone videos that have captions
Having captions within that video in this format will not work. If you scroll down in the last tutorial shared, you can see where you can allow 'Hint Captions' in View Mode, for example.
Otherwise, you would need to add to the timeline and sync with your video or perhaps utilize a 3rd party application.

Hi Elizabeth! I think this article from Mike may be just what you are looking for.
Hello Leslie:
If Accent 1 is the fill color applied to screen recording captions, what is the outline color?
Accent 2? This is not documented anywhere.

Hi Cynthia!
You can check out our tutorial on creating and adding screencasts here and you can certainly add it as a video on a single slide.
