Hi there Heather!

It sounds like making sure learners view all content before moving to the next slide is important to you. 

Storyline has a handy restricted navigation feature that will allow learners to click the next button only after the timeline on the slide is complete. 

And if your slide contains layers or interactive objects that the learner should click, you can set up triggers to disable the Next button until the learner has interacted with everything on the slide.
