My Format Painter doesn't seem to be working properly (okay, I know it's me). I am attempting to format tabs I have created by using the Format Painter to "copy" the State from one tab to another but it's not working. What gives?
Highlight your tab you want to copy the format of, then single click the format painter and you can then format one other object to the layout of your tab. Double click the format painter and you can quickly format multiple tabs.
I was attempting to use it to duplicate button states. Did a reinstall of 360 and it is working now. Storyline 2 went through some hoops to relaunch but it appears to be working as before. Thanks. Tough time making transition to SL from ToolBook 1996 - 2016.
Also took me a while to figure out how showLayer triggers the visible state of objects on the base layer.
I'm not sure what your original issue was, but in regards to the transition element I did want to point out where you could find all the tutorials for Storyline 2 and Storyline 360 as those will hopefully help with the transition and learning the new tool.
Thanks for the reply, Ashley. I am using the Lynda.com tutorials for now and will shift to the Articulate ones after I finish advanced Storyline. It is a bit of a challenge going from doing almost everything programatically to using the layers and triggers but not as difficult as replicating ToolBook functionality in Captivate HTML5. I will likely terminate my Captivate subscription if Adobe does not do something about making mouseOver events work in HTML5 output without having to use variables.
BTW: I bought a one year 360 subscription this morning.
So fun! I hope you love Articulate 360 - we've had a lot of fun with it, and the great thing is we'll get to keep adding on a regular basis. :)
Lynda.com also has some great tutorials so use whatever works! It's definitely a fair amount of content and things to learn, but I find that once you start playing around with it, you'll start to see some of the logic associated with triggers and variables. If you get stuck, the community is pretty amazing at taking a look and so you can share your .story files here with us. Also, you can reach our Support Engineers 24/7 at this link.

Hi Peter
see attached video - 360 Format painter working fine for me on shapes not sure what you are trying to use it on.
Perhaps you need to do a repair of SL360
Thanks Wendy,
