Formatting Bullets - Color won't change

I found many discussions regarding bullets, but didn't come across one that addressed my same issue. Hoping there's an easy fix for what I'm running into...I feel like I must be missing something obvious!
My bullets refuse to change color when I change the color of the text. The only way I've found to change the bullet color is to go into the Bullet and Numbering properties; however, when I change the color there, it's increasing the space between the bullets and the text, which I don't want. Any ideas on how to simply change the color of the bullets without changing the spacing would be much appreciated!

Hi Tessa,
If you change the bullets in the bullets and numbering box, then remove the bullets and reapply them it gets rid of the space. It isn't an elegant solution but it works.
Nice! You're right...it's not elegant - but hey, a fix is a fix! I'll take it! Thanks so much, Deanna!
Hi Tessa -- Thanks so much for reaching out with your question! In addition to Deanna's suggestion, I thought you might like to take a look at some of the suggestions offered in a similar post over here, as well. :)
Hi All:
I followed the instructions above and actually did not have to do any re-pasting. I changed the color in the Bullet and Numbering properties and that was all I had to do. It looks great now!

Justin
Thanks Justin and I'm glad you were able to easily resolve this.
Thanks Justin,
That worked for me too. Although I'm curious as to why the bullets don't automatically match the text colour.
Hi there Tim! Currently the bullet color is controlled within the Bullet and Numbering properties. If you'd like to chime in with your feedback on this, please share your thoughts with us through a feature request. Thanks!
Cool - thanks Alyssa.
