I want consistent fills, outlines and font sizes within captions and default shapes. Can I set these in a Storyline template or do I have to set them each time I start a new project?
I'm not aware of any way to set a default for multiple files for the options you mentioned. It would make a great request, though.
One option would be to create a "Go To" .STORY file that contains all of the formatting you like to use. You can set it up just the way you want it to be for all of your projects. When you're ready to create a new project, just use the "Save As" option and save the file under a new name. After that, you can start adding the content for your new project.
It might be a little more work than using a template, but personally this is my preferred method.
I'm sure others have some tips and tricks they could share for this too.
