Formatting Graded Quiz Questions

Nov 25, 2012

Is there a good tutorial on formatting graded quiz  questions? When I try to change the layout of a drag and drop graded quiz question to one of my custom masters, the question no longer functions. Also, I would like to customize the appearance of items such as the draggable boxes in the  drag and drop quiz questions. Is this possible?

Thanks Peter, but I was referring to the graded drag and drop questions as we want users to be able to track their progress based on a scoring system.

After I create and save a graded drag and drop question, I get an essentially unformatted question on a singe page. When I switch the layout to the template we have created for questions, only the top part of the top drag and drop row is visible ... and it doesn't work.

I have two questions. First, can I change the default layout to that of one of our templates. Second, can I reformat elements of the drag and drop question such as the drag and drop boxes themselves to a look that is more consistent with the graphics on our site?

Hi Marie,

The question text and the answers each sit within their own text boxes, and if you'd like to change the formatting of that text box shape you'll want to right click on the box, and choose "Format shape" to change the background fill color, outline, etc. You could also change it by clicking on the shape and using the Format tab at the top of the window.

Hi Kristen,

Currently, the default is set to center the radio button with the text, and it's not possible to align the radio button to the top of the text.

It's not a feature we've added to Storyline yet,  but we have a report of folks who have requested it, and I can add you to that.  Here's a bit more about how we work to prioritize feature requests.
