Formatting Questions Player Defaults

Hi there,
Now I am wondering for quite a while whether I missed out on how to freely create quizzes to your likes and needs in storyline without working a massive amount of hours on them creating every itsy bit by yourself.
Because just adjusting the player colors or using presets doesn't work for me!
It didn't work in Storyline 2 and it seems to be just for looks there in Storyline 3 as well.
If you have a look on the attached screenshots- it is never possible for me to remove that default teal hover from and this forces me to skip a lot of variations on questions and/ or create own format questions.
Do I overlook something? Why does the hover color not change into what I set it to be in the player?

Hi Lya,
The player control colors will only modify the colors associated with player buttons and actions like the next/previous, seekbar, etc. If you want to modify the hover color you need to do so from the theme colors. When looking at the theme colors - Custom 2 is what you'll want to change.
I do know that there is a new issue with the hover color on some drop down style questions not respecting the custom color only in HTML5. Our team is looking into the fix for this, and right now it does work on a matching drag and drop, but is still not working in HTML5 output for a sequence drag and drop.
Hopefully that helps you out - and give you a few more question type options!

thank you for the great tutorial.
Having done the steps and set all preferred colors including custom 2, I applied these to All slides.
Howevwer, on Preview, the teal hover remained.
Which question type were you using? There is still an open issue as I mentioned with the sequence drag and drop. If you're using another type and it's still not working we'd want to take a look at your .story file. Can you share it with us here in ELH - you can use the Add Attachment button to upload it.

indeed all of the drop down options but also the matching Drag & Drop. The Checkboxes have adopted the set color.
So will there be a software update?

Thanks for clarifying that! Yes, we do expect a fix for this issue to roll out in the next update of Storyline 3. We'll let you know as soon as the fix is released!

One of the fixes addresses an issue where customized hover color for drag items and drop-down questions would not show in the published HTML5 output.
