Formatting Slide Titles

Oct 12, 2015

Hello,

I need to italicize one letter of a slide title in my Storyline 2 course. I'm not seeing anything indicating that this functionality is supported--is there a way to fake it?

Thanks!

Ashley

Hi, Ashley -- In a test file, I was able to type the word "Title" in the Title area, select the first letter "T", right click, and click the formatting button for Italics and it seems to have done the trick. Is that what you were hoping to accomplish? Please clarify if that is not what you had in mind. Thanks!

Thanks so much, Christie! Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to carry over to the actual slide menu on the left side of the player. I've tried formatting the title both from the "Scenes" panel and from the "Base Layer" menu on the right. I've also tried formatting from the "Menu" options in the "Player Template" tab--all to no luck. Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks!
Ashley

Hi, Ashley -- I appreciate the clarification, as I did not understand that you intended for the formatting to be applied to the slide titles in the Menu area of the player. To the best of my knowledge, there is currently not a way to apply italics in the Menu area, however, you may want to review this information on How to Change the Player Colors, Font, and Font Size to see what other options are available.

And perhaps others in the community would have some ideas they can share, but if you would like to submit a feature request to let our Product Development team know what you would like to see in the future, you are welcome to use the form.
