Forums Search Engine

Jan 16, 2014

The Search engine in Articulate doesn't appear to be working. Even if I put in a broad term--like 'video'-the search finds nothing other than this message: "no items matching your search were found." In fact, I entered 'Articulate' into the search field. Nothing. Anybody else having this problem?

Hi Evan,

Sorry to hear about the difficulty you're having, and the search functionality is something our team is aware of, but it also seems that the behavior is inconsistent. The method Michael shared is a great way to search the site and receive relevant results from forums, kb articles and tutorials. If you need anything else please let us know.

Thanks, Michael and Ashley. That's what has been working for me. Google searches.

One more item Ashley: if I continue down the Adobe Captivate path, I have to pay for a full version of Captivate 7. I haven't been real happy with the support I've received (read: I've NOT received) using Captivate 5 and I'm thinking of going with Storyline, mainly because of the community and support forums. Stellar stuff. However, I have a Mac with Parallels and I frankly don't like working out of virtual software. Are there any plans anywhere on the horizon, even the distant horizon, for a Mac version of Storyline?

Hi Evan,

I certainly understand, I'm not a huge fan of running things in a virtual environment (I don't use a Mac, but I run other versions of Storyline in a VM) but I don't have any information to share about a future version of Storyline running natively in a Mac environment. If you haven't already, I'd suggest sharing your thoughts in the form of a feature request.
