Inherited a laptop from a previous trainer who has left the company and need to get Articulate Storyline from old laptop (being decommissioned) onto my current training laptop. When I try to open it to get the serial number, I get that Adobe Flash Player 10 or greater needs to be installed. When I install FP16 and click the Articulate icon THE SAME MESSAGE DISPLAYS AGAIN. I don't have CDs or serial number but I know we have a license, just need assistance in getting to it and need to move from old laptop to new. Please assist.
Thank you! I'll try this but at the moment Articulate won't open at all. I click the icon and the FP message displays and, even after downloading FP, the message remains. I'm trying a few more things but I think you're right, this will require updating to the latest version.
You should be able to access those links I shared above to download the latest update, downloading the latest Flash Player will still present the issue as it was an issue with Flash Player 16.

You need to download the latest release for the version of SL you are using where that flash issue was resolved
SL1 update 8
SL2 update 4
click the option in the ribbon 'check for updates'

You likely need to download the latest update for your version of Storyline that fixed an issue associated with Flash player 16. You can find Update 8 of Storyline 1 here and Update 4 of Storyline 2 here.
