Framesize of Player changing

Jan 23, 2015

Hi,

I was just wondering whether anybody has been able to resolve that the framesize of the Player changes, depending on whether you have Player Tabs selected in the Topbar right.

Our Player generally displays the Menu and Notes in the Topbar right. But I don't want to use these options on our course intro slide.

The result is that I get grey lines on top and below the slide content (when previewing the whole course and when published in LMS), the Player frame above the Intro slide is slimmer than on all other slides and the course title jumps from one slide to the next as a result of this.

Strangely enough, the grey lines don't appear when I preview the Intro slide as a single slide.

Thanks for your input.

Hi Kerstin,

Previewing a single slide that doesn't have certain player elements will show that slide as is, but if you've included those elements in other parts of the course, the player will include space for them throughout when viewing the entire preview or publish. Also here is information in regards to how player size impacts your output.

Thanks for your reply and the useful link, Ashley. However, this is exactly what I am struggling with. The 24 pixels that are added for a topbar tab are only added on those slides that are meant to display the tabs. My introduction slide does not have any topbar tab, so as a result, the frame for the introduction slide is 23 pixel in height (title) only, whereas all other slides that include topbars are 24 + 23 pixels. It does not seem like space is included throughout when viewing the entire preview or publish.

Kind regards,
Kerstin
