I'm looking at this thread since I'm also trying to report freeform answers to my LMS. Gil said he published in SCORM 1.2 - is that SCORM compatible with freeform responses?
Responses are handled differently than question text. That's outlined in our documentation here about what is sent to the LMS. For question text, you need to be sure to publish to SCORM 2004 or Tin Can API/xAPI.
Are you experiencing an issue with your questions reporting as expected? Let us know if we need to take a look at anything.
Thanks so much for your responses! I haven't tried doing it myself yet, but my team is looking at other methods of gathering data. Right now our LMS supports SCORM 1.2; we're looking into whether or not 2004 or Tin Can is an option given our situation, but I figured I would check to see if there could be a way to use 1.2. Just trying to see what my options are! :)

This article says to publish as SCORM 2004 or xAPI: https://articulate.com/support/article/Storyline-360-Freeform-Question-Text-Isn-t-Reported-to-an-LMS
Thanks! :)
Hi Kaylin!
That's the article I would have recommended -- good find! Have you tried changing the slide layout and publishing as SCORM 2004?
Let us know if that solves if or if you need more help!
