Free Form - Next page restriction
Jun 21, 2017
I've developed a rather complicated simulation for a client. There are three results the learner can get:
(1) they achieve the best score and are done,
(2) they fail and repeat the course, or
(3) they Kind of Pass, get an OK score and are done or choose to repeat.
I'm trying to use a Free Form quiz on both Results pages (1-Success & 3-Kind of Pass) to redirect the learner to the conclusion page and record the LMS Completion status.
That's where I have the problem. When I program the Free Form on the second to last page in the scene, it's automatically directing the user to the last page in the scene not the results screen. I can't find any reason for the re-direction.
I've re-created the problem in a clean file, which I've attached. Any ideas?

Hi Nathan
I can see what's happening but can't see why it's happening. I've deleted all triggers and re-added them, I've created a new project file and imported the slides in. I've checked all layouts and there don't seem to be any hidden triggers.
The only way I can get it to work as expected is if Slide 1.2a and 1.3b are in different scenes.
Are you on the latest update of SL2 - update 12?
Yes, I tried it on two machines, one on Update 11 and Update 12
Oh hang on are you using the Freeform Pick One survey quiz type not the graded one?
Here is a quick sample using the graded one and it seems to be working - let me try again with the survey one.
Unfortunately, it's not working. It still has a mystery arrow that I can't figure out. At this point I need to archive the project, so I'm going to have to re-build the last couple of slides.
Hi Nathan,
The arrows indicate connections between slides, but I don't see that they're actually jumping or moving between those two slides so it can safely be ignored. Is there anything else that's happening in this file that is not working as you'd expect?
Hey Ashley I took at look at Nathan's file - if the slide is a Pick One Survey it jumps incorrectly, if set up as a Pick One Graded it works correctly using exactly the same triggers. Strange,
Hi there Nathan, I'm seeing the issue as well. The "Finish" button on slide 1.2a should jump to slide 2.1 Results, but instead it jumps to slide 1.3b. I don't see anything in your file that would cause that to happen, so I'd like our Support team to weigh in.
I opened a case for you (01094174), and you'll hear from the team shortly!
