Hi,
I created some templates for my recent DevLearn session and wanted to share them here. The templates have the following features:
- Final test that ends early: as soon as the learners gets a certain number of questions right or wrong
- Chapters (1-3) which display additional content when the learner doesn't correctly answer the associated pretest question
- Chapters (4-5) which display additional content when the learner doesn't correctly answer an in-chapter checkpoint question
- Final test gives you credit for (and skips) questions when the learner correctly answered the associated pretest question
I've built out versions for Storyline 1, Storyline 2, and Storyline 360.
Cheers,
Simon

Very nice. Thank you!
Do you have any special technique to go from Storyline 1-2-360? Do you just start the project in Storyline 1 and upgrade to each subsequent version, or do you just begin with a new project in each?
Hi Michael, being the lazy (I mean "energy efficient") person I am, I started with an SL1 file, then upgraded that to SL2. After that I upgraded the SL2 file to SL360.
While I was developing it, I did a few tests starting directly from SL2 or SL360. That was just when I saw things that might produce different results between a clean start and an upgrade.
That sounds like a great reason to be "lazy". :) Thanks for the information.
If you have any questions or suggestions, don't hesitate to get in touch.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing this Simon! We really need to find some time to chat!
Hi Jac,
I don't know how I missed the notification for your comment. Chatting would definitely be nice. I've been letting my subconscious percolate on session ideas.
Cheers, Simon
Simon, I've also been missing a few notifications to subscribed threads. It's really hard to know how many, but I've discovered three updated threads just by accident over the past few weeks. Letting your subconscious work on issues has been the practice of many of the "great minds" throughout history. I often find the solutions to unsolvable problems that way.
Thanks Simon!
me too - I'll email you and we can set up a time to chat! :-)
My pleasure, Les!
Thanks for sharing, Simon. Very cool of you.
Hi, Simon! Would you be able to share the files for download? I currently don't have access to Storyline 360, but was going to share the files with my digital media specialist who is working with me on a course. Thanks so much in advance!
Hi Sashar,
It looks like the files are shared up top, those all link to files to download:
It looks like notifications are still flaky.
I didn't get anything for Sasha's question, but I did for Ashley's response.
Thanks for jumping in and helping, Ashley!
Hi Simon,
No worries. We don't send email notifications for brand new users in ELH on their first post as a part of our spam prevention setup. Sorry if that threw you off!
