I have some D&D questions where any incorrect answers bounce back to their starting position... however it's too fast, I'd like the return journey to be a little slower. Is there an option to alter the travel speed?
There isn't a way to change the drag and drop speed at which incorrect items will snap back. You can read more about the drag and drop options here and perhaps someone in the community will have ideas for a customized set up you could look at implementing.
