Freeform hotspot area custom Submit
Jul 18, 2012
Part of a brief I'm involved with is to evaluate Storyline for use on future projects. As part of this brief we need to match the pre-existing courses and to use a custom submit button, set within the main screen area.
This has served well until coming across the hotspot screens. There appears no way of using a custom button as the default Hotspot-1 appears to act as a listener area for the interaction is the whole screen. (This is not about the hotspots you create yourself.)
Is there a way of reducing this hotspot/listener area to just the image, so a custom button can sit onscreen?
Otherwise there appears to be no way for the user to make their choice without using the default button.
Any help would be appreciated.

Slaps own forhead. Have finally solved it, custom submit button needs to be on a layer set with blank template. Any other template prevents this.
Just came across this issue today. Solved by:
Hope that makes sense!
Thanks for popping in to share your solution, John. Looks like this thread is quite dated, but it could help anyone that runs across it in the future :)
Yes Leslie...dated though it is...it was all I could find on the issue/fix. Unless you know of something else?
