In published content (both on Review 360 and in HTML5 only output) I've recently noticed an issue with freeform quiz slides where the audio from all the layers plays simultaneously after the following things happen:
The Submit button is hit before any selections are made/dragged/typed.
The OK button is clicked on the automated warning dialog.
Please confirm and advise. I have not tested this with SL360's built-in quiz slides, since we hardly ever use those.
Hi Robert, thanks for reaching out! We're seeing the same thing. We have a bug with audio in the feedback layers playing after the "Invalid Answer" window is closed.
A possible workaround is to add a trigger to the audio in each layer: Play media [audio] when timeline starts on this layer. Can you try that in your project and let me know if that works?
Alyssa - I just confirmed that your suggested workaround works. It's not a feasible solution because of the large number of Storyline courses that we publish and update, but I'm glad to know that it's not just a local issue.
Can you please provide more information about when this bug first appeared? This issues does not seem to be affecting our older projects, so I'm curious if it's only affecting content published with the most recent version: January 22, 2019 (Build 3.24.17733.0).
I understand the workaround isn't a feasible solution when you're dealing with so many courses, but thanks for confirming the trigger did work for you.
We began seeing this issue in Storyline 360 Update 24, so it's a recent occurrence. We'll let you know as soon as it's resolved.
Glad to hear it only popped up in Update 24. Republishing just those projects made with that version won't be too much trouble. Thanks for the information.
I see that there wasn't time to get this issue fixed in Update 25. I'm sincerely hoping it's resolved in the next update. The list of projects that'll need to be manually republished and uploaded grows longer each day.

Yes, the issue where audio added to the Correct/Incorrect feedback layer automatically plays after closing the 'Invalid Answer' notification is included as a part of that fix. Sorry, we didn't yet get back into this discussion to update you!
