Freeform Results slide not working on mobile devices
Mar 20, 2016
Hi,
Thank you for your time, I hope you are able to help with an ongoing problem I just can't seem to fix. I am hoping it is just a simple fix as I am new to Articulate Storyline 2.
I am creating a Freeform Question - Pick one - Quiz with a Results Slide at the end. I have attached a fundamental, basic example of the file I have created. The problem I am having is that it works on a Desktop or laptop but not on an IPad, IPhone or Android mobile devices. The counter when not on a Desktop will correctly function until the results slide. The results slide doesn't display the correct count of correct answers selected by the user. No matter what the user enters the result always shows 1 correct. The file has been tested with and without LMS housing.
Thanks again
Rachel

Hi Rachel! Thanks for sharing your LMS output. I tested it in SCORM Cloud on my iPhone, and I was able to produce the same results (assuming green answers were correct). Would you be able to share the .story file by using the Add Attachment button? I'd like to take a look at how you set up your slides from the inside, and if I can reproduce it that way.
Hi Crystal
For some reason I was not able to reply under my profile so I am using a co- workers profile.
Please find the file you requested attached
Cheers Rachel
Rachel, thanks for sharing your project file. I see that you eliminated the submit button from your question slides. Doing so configures your quiz to have your answers "submit all at once."
Quiz questions will be marked incorrectly under these circumstances:
This is a known issue, and obviously not desired behavior for you. I'm really sorry about that. You can avoid this behavior by viewing your course in the Articulate Mobile Player app (available for your iPad and Android tablet) or a Flash-enabled browser. If HTML5 is a requirement, you'll need to submit answers one at a time (including the submit button in your slide properties of each slide).
Our QA staff is investigating this issue. I'll add your discussion to their record, and I'll be sure to update you as soon as I have more information!
Hi Crystal
Thank you for your very quick response. I will look into the solutions you have given and hopefully fix the problem. Again a huge thanks for your quick response
Cheers Rachel
Happy to help. :)
HI Crystal,
Articulate Mobile Player is showing an error of NO content. After further reading (thank you for the link) my question is -
My LMS requires a login if we add Tin Can API will users be able to pass security credentials to view content? - After installing Tin Can API will the content be shown in the Articulate Mobile player?
Again thanks for your time
Cheers Rachel
Hi Rachel,
You'll want to confirm with your LMS team that they support Tin Can API. If so, then you could publish your course with the Tin Can option and that would allow users to access it within the mobile player and pass the security credentials, tracking, reporting, etc.
Hope that helps!
Thanks Ashley,
Thanks for your response. Just wanted to check before paying our LMS developer to install Tin Can
Cheers Rachel
Certainly Rachel - and you could always look at publishing in Tin Can and uploading to the SCORM Cloud site that Crystal mentioned as a way to see how that content will behave in the Articulate Mobile Player as a baseline. SCORM Cloud is an industry standard for testing LMS content
Hi all,
I wanted to provide an update here, as Storyline 2 Update 8 was just released, and included a number of fixes which you can see in the release notes available here. The item you all may be particularly interested in is how it how it fixed the issue where questions would be scored incorrectly when submitting answers all at once in HTML5 output. You can download the latest update here, and after downloading and installing the latest update you’ll want to republish any existing content to ensure that the updates and fixes are applied.
