Frustrated with Navigation with Slide Lyaers
Sep 25, 2020
Hi,
I've created this course in SL 360 and I want to demo it to my committee. I created this slide that includes a base layer and two additional layers (very proud of myself). at reveals additional information about the case when the user clicks "More" . The problem is that I want the user to be able to click back and review the base layer if they need to, but when I click previous it jumps to the previous slide. I sent in a ticket and the person told me to check "Reset to initial state" in the slide properties for the slide layers. I did that, but it's still not working.
Any recommendations?

Add a back button on the layer. Put a trigger on it to hide layer when clicked. That should hide the layer and expose the base layer.
What Tom said. Just add buttons to hide the layers, as needed.
Be aware that the player's Prev and Next buttons are there to navigate slides, not layers. While you could adjust their triggers to make them move through layers, that's not a good idea, since it would break standard UI guidelines.
Good luck!
