Just wanted to share a fun little garage project I put together, just to see if I could create a carousel-type interaction in SL2 utilizing the new (and incredibly awesome) sliders.
That is a fun Slider Brian. It's cool to see the new features of Articulate Storyline 2. Thank you for sharing. You might also appreciate some of the top features of Storyline 2.
I need to load up the SL2 demo and check the source out, very nice. I especially like how the video resumes if you move the slider and come back.
I also set it up so that if you click onto any of the video thumbnails in the carousel, the slider position changes to match your position, which is pretty cool.
I primarily shared this just to see how other people might create this differently, as there are usually numerous ways to do something, some more efficient than others.
thanks for sharing Brian - your carousel has endless applications...i hope to create something different from your design - Ill let you know how i go!
PS Im also now hooked on lip sycning battles!
Kate, looking forward to seeing what you're able to create with it, and yes, this project was my way to pay homage to all lip sync battles, past, present and future... I'm not sure which of these was my favorite, but Emma Stone was awesome!
Thank you so much for sharing! This is exactly what I was trying to do, but I had some trouble figuring out how to do it. And I agree, Emma Stone's is the best one!
I am glad that this little carousel interaction is still helpful. I also started working on creating a true accordion-style interaction but ran into a couple of limitations I've yet to work thru.
This is a really great use of the slider. I would like to recommend that the example be updated to include the Tom Cruise lip sync battle. He gives Emma Stone a run for her money.
Pretty sure this is too old for anyone to still have this but is there anyone who can share the .story file here - something other than Dropbox (corporate security puts the kibosh on all cloud storage except internally "sanctioned" drives)?
It looks like Brian may have removed the file from Dropbox in his source file link above. Hopefully he's got a copy of it that he can share with you here!
Dropbox ditched support for linking to files this way. I've updated the original post at the top of the thread with the SL2 source file, hope this helps!

Great demo, Brian! Thanks for sharing your Storyline 2 source file, too!

Hands down - Emma Stone is the best at the lip sync battle, I love watching them - so thanks for sharing this one!
Does anyone know of anything similar for SL1 (please please say yes!)
It takes a bit more work, but you can build sliders in Storyline 1 as well. Here is some info: http://wp.me/p2BoUf-8b

Sounds fun! I look forward to seeing it when you're finished!

Ha! I haven't watched that one yet - but now that you mentioned it I know what I'll be checking out later today.... ;-)
