Hi, Ondřej. I appreciate you sharing these examples, and I'm so sorry you see that outline with your GIF files!
We have this issue on the radar and are looking into the next steps. I added this conversation to the bug report so we can keep you in-the-know on its progress!
Ok, thank you for your information. If you want, I can upload a source file. Is here any solution? When I try the same thing in new story file, everything is OK. But I need use the GIF in old one...
While we tackle this bug in the HTML5 output, GIFs should work as expected in Flash. I know publishing to Flash as a workaround isn't ideal, so I'll take you up on your offer. We'll dig into your .story to see if we can offer other solutions! 🔎

The options with cropping is not good for me, because you can see in rotation a missing part. The second option with MP4 file isnt bad, beacuse a background on center is white.
We just released the newest version of Storyline 3, Update 7 this morning! This release includes a fix for the issue where a transparent animated gif had purple outlines.
The next step is to update Storyline 3 by downloading the latest update here.

I Had this problem - a pink boarder around GIF imge that looked very wrong.
I solved by switching off the drop shadow in my design software (Adobe Photoshop)
Hope this helps.

Hello Leslie,
Thank you for letting us know ! For the moment, i've used the following solution : doing a small crop of the gif seems to remove the purple lines.
