I have created a course and some questions have multi-select for answers. Is it possible to make each answer worth half a mark so it doesn't show as completely incorrect.

In the image you can see that I have two options, I want to be able to record if the user has got one right if only one has been selected.
It sounds like you're interested in scoring individual answer choices instead of the entire question. Score by choice is only available for some question types, including Multiple Choice, Word Bank, Freeform Pick One, and Freeform Hotspot.
I found a few similar threads with ideas for a custom set-up here, here, and another one here. Have a look, and hopefully you'll find something that will work for you!
