Grey bars on player in preview scene and published output

Hi,

I'm having a problem with a Storyline 2 project which displays grey bars on both sides of the player in certain circumstances. The project has 2 scenes, a tutorial and an assessment which uses a randomised question bank. The player displays correctly in the tutorial scene (when previewing individual slides and the whole scene). For the assessment, each individual slide, intro, each question and results slide, show the player correctly when previewed individually but when the scene is previewed I get grey bars on both sides of the player. I've checked all the slide properties and they are all set the same.

Any ideas?

Hey Paul,

That does sound odd, let's get to the bottom of it! I have a few questions to start:

  1. Are you on the latest version of Storyline 2, update 12? If not, you can download it right over here.
  2. Where is your file saved to? Is it saved right to your C:Drive or desktop, or are you working from a shared drive?
  3. Can you share your .story project file here so we can take a look? You can add it as an attachment right to a comment in this discussion.

Thanks for the response.

  1. Yes I'm using the latest version of Storyline 2.
  2. Yes I'm working on the C: drive.
  3. I've attached the .story file - I had to remove most of the content due to the nature of the actual project but the same problem remains. I've also noticed that the player displays correctly when previewing each question bank individually.
