I use Shift+F9 frequently to show/hide the gridlines - or a least I was using it frequently! Last week it quit working. I can use Alt+W+G to use the keyboard to toggle gridlines, but Shift+F9 was easier. Anyone have any ideas what might have happened? More importantly, any ideas how I might fix this?
That is the correct shortcut. I'm still able to utilize mine, so perhaps something on your system. Have you tried a re-boot to see if you still experience the same results?
I have rebooted a number of times. I happened last Thursday or Friday. I rebooted right after it happened. The ability to use the keyboard shortcut did not come back. I have shut down my computer every evening since and am still not able to access that keyboard shortcut. The other keyboard shortcuts I use all seem to be working appropriately, for example Ctrl+M and Ctrl+F12.
SnagIt was the problem. I installed an ungraded version last week and it was set to auto start. I removed that "preference" today. I just rebooted my system and I'm back to working shortcuts! Thank you so much for your prompt assistance! You're a superstar!!!

Do you have any other software/application that could be intercepting the shortcut (SnagIt, etc).
Could be SnagIt. I'll do a reboot and try. Thanks for the thought. I'll post here to let you know what happens.
Sounds great Linda
