Grouped Trigger error when published

Hey All,
Thanks in advance for your help with this.
I have an image with states, grouped with text (shown below). This group has a trigger to show a layer.
When previewing this, i can click anywhere on the grouped image and text to show the layer. However when published, clicking on the wording will not display the layer. Only the image (blue border) will trigger the layer to be displayed.
Does anyone know why this would be?

1. The group may not have a fill, and there is nothing to catch the click.
2. The group may have a fill set to 100% transparent, and I have heard unsubstantiated rumors that in SL2, 100% transparency catches clicks, but in SL3/360 the transparency may have to be set as low as 96% to catch clicks.
3. Groups seldom play nicely with any other object or function. Either create one object, or cover this object with a hotspot.
