It sounds like you're looking to disable the hover state when an item is in a visited state, is that right? Here's a visual of what I see on that on that slide:
If that matches your current experience, I have a few more questions to help us reach that goal:
Would you mind sharing your .STORY source file so I can take a closer look at the settings? You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by using this upload link. I'll let you know what I find, and will delete it after troubleshooting.
Thanks Katie for the reply - The hover state I was wanted disabled on the icon - the check mark would be overlapped with the "Hover" state icon - the Obligation to report icon in version 3 you see the paper overlap with the icon but in Prohibitions and Marijuana you don't see the overlap...
I've since removed the "hover" state and just left the selected state but i was using the built in states. and just changing the image.
It sounds like you've got things working again? If not, definitely keep us posted and we're happy to take a look at your file as Katie mentioned. I also wanted to point out that the built-in states will behave according to the definitions here. Often adding triggers to those can cause some odd behavior, so you'll want to use the states as they are noted. Anything else you could create a custom state and add a trigger.
