Guidance needed - publishing to Video

Dec 14, 2020

Hello everyone, I am pretty sure that this is user error on my part. I made a 12 slide presentation with various layers per slide and accompanying audio. When I publish my presentation to video, I get the following results: either just the first slide shows (with accompanying audio) or each of the 12 slides show (with accompanying audio) but without the various associated layers.

When I preview "whole project", the presentation is correct. When I publish to LMS, then it comes out 100%.

The presentation is saved to my desktop after being published.

I published something similar a few days ago and the video came out perfect, but now?  Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hello Craig,

So sorry to hear you're running into that in the published MP4. I'm happy to help!

FirstWe have these tips for preparing courses for video publishing.

Next: If everything looks good there, could you share the STORY file with me through this private link? I'll run through the process on my side and report back!

Hello Katie

Thanks for responding; I solved the reason why about 10 minutes ago :-) while trying to convert a text to speech presentation. thanks to this article

In particular...

Do’s and Dont’s

There are certain actions/ elements which will not work when the course is published as video.
For example, the course shouldn’t contain;

mouse event triggers such as mouse click and mouse hover.
media triggers, project triggers and quiz triggers..

When i changed all my triggers from advancing to the next slide on completion of audio to "timeline ends/reaches" a second past the end of the audio, this seemed to work. i was able to then publish to video and have all the layers present and working.
