Presenter had the option to have the main sections of a menu closed until the users is on that specific section. I can't seem to find a similar functionality in SL; is it possible?
Having the menu fully expanded or close after finishing the section seem like the only options available.
Yeah, I know that functionality, but I was referring to having them all closed on course launch and only the section the user is in be open. Similar to how Presenter works. I don't think the functionality is available in SL.

Bill,
Go to the "Menu" area on the Player, then expand / collapse the menu chapters on the illustration as below.

Bill,
I think if you just set them all to "Closed" to start with it will do exactly what you are suggesting.

Hi Bill,
This is quite bizarre because Bruce's solution has worked for all my projects.
Can you try it again? Go into the player properties, from there, click the Menu button and close all sections of your project.
Just forget about point 2 of the image.
Keep us posted!

Bruce's method does work. You can tweak that sidebar to make it appear how you want when first launched.
Well golly gee wizz that was easy..
Thanks all.
