Having the next button enabled after visiting and completing a page with a custom next button

Oct 20, 2016

Hi there,

I have customised next buttons set to disabled so a learner has to click on an interactive assets before the next button is visible and they can proceed to the next page.

The issue is when a learner clicks on the previous button they have to complete the interactive activity again however I want them to be able to click previous button and be able to have the next button enabled when revisiting a slide they have already explored. I have tried to set each slide property to "resume saved state" however this has not made any difference. I have only tested this in the view project function on Articulate.

Looking forward to any assistance or advice on the matter.

Many thanks

Thanks for the share Wendy, but Vanessa's question is one I have come up against recently.  I was asked to not use customized N-P buttons, and to use the Player buttons.  Sadly I see this same behavior.  It seems that the Resume Saved State function does not always work, so I end up using variables and triggers.  Unfortunately, I wish that this feature worked all the time.

Hi Eric!

It sounds like you may be looking for an option for submit all vs submit one at a time?

By default, question slides in Articulate Storyline have a Submit button, meaning each question will be submitted one at a time for evaluation and feedback will be displayed immediately. If you want all the questions to be submitted at the same time at the end of the quiz, change the navigation controls from Submit buttons to Prev/Next buttons. Here's how.
