Having trouble with a state

I was editing this timeline and somehow a state was added? I did not add it yet it at all. I can not delete it nor edit it and it has removed my content from my original slide when in preview or publish... Can anyone help me here or is this simply a bug and I'll need to delete this slide and start again?

Hi Drew- that's odd. Was this a slide that was built from scratch? Is is using any Master slides/layouts? And did you copy that particular item from another slide?
If you can share your .story file here, we could take a look (use the Add Attachment button in your reply). If this behavior has only occurred on this one item on this one slide, I wouldn't rule out rebuilding the slide in case the item became corrupt somehow.
But we'll be happy to have a closer look for you to figure out what happened!
