I desperately need to update and edit a course that was created ( by my collegue ) but we cannot seem to locate a unpublished or non output file any where on any system or drive. It seems to have been deleted.
We have searched "My Documents" on all licenced computers and then in the "My Articulate Projects file" with absolutely no luck
I do have all the below files but not the articulate editable version,
Chrome HTML Document, File folders, XSD files, XML Documents,
The source (story) files aren't typically located in the "My Articulate Projects" folder - this is where the outputs reside.
While I can't tell you where the file is located, run a search for *.story on all local hard disks and see if anything that comes up reminds you of the course in question.
OHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO so there is no way that you kw if to convert it or manipulate it at all ? SO starting from scratch is my only option ?????? it is going to be a very long and busy weekend then :-)
I cringe at the thought of your weekend now Sandra - but Wendy is right...no way to export out or covert the published output to a file you can edit.
I'd agree with Alex's idea to search for the .story files - and also make sure it's searching the temp files located on the previous computer if it hasn't been wiped clean.
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts, suggestions and prayers.
I can say with a huge sigh of relief that Alex's suggestions to search for *.story was a success........... after searching a few computers and drives I was able to locate an unpublished version.
Funny. I was looking for something else and came across this. Alex's advise worked for me too!
I found a source file I've been looking for over a year now! It was the oldest file turned up in the search and I think my first ever Storyline project.
Thank you Sandra for your post and to Alex for his advise!

If you had the file in Dropbox or if you have any online backup, you can restore deleted files ...

Whoa - your first ever file Christopher?! That's kind of cool and a fun way to go back to what you used to set up and see how things changed!
