I'm sorry to hear you've both been struggling with this! But, I have good news - Storyline 360,build 3.25.18009.0 is available today, and it fixes the issue you'd run into where some objects disappeared when viewing courses in Google Chrome 72.
Ah, our apologies. Appreciate you letting us know, Martin!
This bug isn't fixed in Storyline 3 yet, but we'll let you know as soon as a solution is live. If there's anything else we can help answer in the meantime, please let us know!
I've just downloaded the new software and republished and I am still experiencing the same issues as I did before in chrome. It doesn't look like the fix has actually fixed anything.
The items missing on the slide have no animation attached, but there is a picture that fades when states change, so I have removed the animation and this seems to have fixed the issue for now.
But I can't do this for every module in our library.
Storyline: build 3.25.18009.0
Chrome: Version 72.0.3626.109 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Do we know why its behaving differently in Chrome, so i can give my SME's some kind of explanation
If you're still seeing the issue after updating, we would like to take a look.
With your permission, I'd like you to share your project file with our support engineers to investigate what's happening. You can share it privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.
I’m not in the office today, but I shall upload the file on Monday.
In the mean time are you able to explain what the issue (which saw the fix put in on 18th) was as I am getting chased by senior people in my company as to why this has happened. Unfortuntally it was noticed on the launch of a high profile module and Has garnered unwanted negative attention.
Also when I reviewed the module (many times) in articulate review in chrome, I didn’t see this error, is it something to do with how it published in articulate review.
Question: Would Articulate be able to provide a "patch" for this issue that could be applied to a specific file or files in the published output for a course? Here's why I am asking....
We are also experiencing issues with Chrome 72. For us, the table of contents pops up "hiding" behind the objects on the slide. We also have buttons that do not appear but still are able to be triggered by clicking on the known (by the authors) location on the slide. So, for us, this appears to be an indexing issue. Also, our testers have noticed that, on small screens, the Storyline 3 courses work fine. For us, the issue happens only on larger screen sizes. So, to us, this appears to be a responsive design issue in the .css code - larger screen sizes would likely utilize different .css code than the code for used for smaller screen sizes.
We use Storyline 3 update 2. We have remained on this update because the Search feature has an issue in all of the available updates since then. We have opened a ticket and provided detailed information on this issue. But it still hasn't been fixed. The point is, we would not be able move to the latest version of Storyline 3 unless both of these issues were fixed.
Because S3 Update 2 still has the issue with MS Edge and the large (or numerous) video issue with Internet Explorer, Chrome has been our go-to browser for our customers. So, for us, this Chrome 72 problem is a very serious issue.
Also, even if a Storyline 3 update was available that fixed both problems, it would not be practical to republish and upload to our LMS the dozens of Storyline 3 courses we have created. Doing so would reset progress for thousands of learners.
If we could access the course files on the server and make a code modification or simply replace the affected file with an update version (without the Search issue included), this would resolve our immediate serious problem.
I'm happy to share that an update to Storyline 3 is available today.
Enhanced: We added support for Google Chrome 72 and Safari 12.0.3. If objects disappear when viewing a course in these browsers, install the latest Storyline 3 update and republish your course.
Check out all the details on the latest release here.
Please let us know if you run into any issue after updating and republishing.

Hi Ashley
That's great news - is there also a fix for Storyline 3, which is what I'm using?

Hi Terry,
Thanks so much for your patience. Our team is working hard to resolve this issue in Storyline 3. You can read more about what we're doing to help with missing images and slide objects in this post we recently shared with the community.
