Help! Hotspot difficulties

May 24, 2012

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to place a hot spot on a second layer of a template so that the user will see another text box when it's hovered over. I want the text box to then disappear after it's not hovered on anymore. I attached what I've done so far, and I can't quite figure out why it's not working. I set the hotspot trigger to change the state of Rectangle 1 to Normal when the user hovers over and then I put a trigger on Rectangle 1 to remain hidden when the timeline starts. The slide I'm talking about is on the second layer (Compound Verbs (present tense))

Can anyone think of another way to do this?

Thanks!!!!!!

Hi, you can't do this with hotspots. Use a shape instead and make it transparent. You can add states to symbols but not to hotspots.

After creating the shape, go to the states tab located beside the timeline and click the edit option. Add a hover state to the shape and add the text you want the user o see when the hover to the hover state.
