I am using Storyline 1 on Windows 8.1. Just noticed that some parts of the slide background are not visible in the main slide pane in Normal view. The left column displays the slides correctly. This happened when I copied a scene for an existing project into a new one. Other projects are okay. Not sure if this is to do with the copy and paste but would that not affect the left column display as well? The published output has these elements missing as well.

If you need to use existing slides from another project, you may want to use the steps here to Import Slides from Other SL Projects rather than copy/paste. You may also want to check out this info on Unexpected or Erratic Behavior in SL2, and if issues persist, you are welcome to share your file. :)
