I am building a software simulation - based on a screen recording of someone walking through a process. It is a try me set up. The issue is this, you land on the slide - and the static background screen record - is of poor quality - looks blurry - and you are on the static part for quite some time as there is audio instruction etc, BUT as soon as you click the hotpot required - the animation (actual screen record) crisps right up and is of noticeably much better quality??
Any thoughts for getting round this?? or any idea why it is happening??
Client has also commented on this so I really need a fix!
What version of Storyline are you recording it with? Could you share some samples here with your .story file?
You may also want to take a look at the screen recording information here - often the blurriness is due to how the screen images are scaling to fit the story size.
sure - I am using SL3 - but the video was recorded by the client on SL1 - I will get a file together for you now - we have recorded at story size and spent quite some time - making sure we had it correct and consistent...
