Certain Pages are Uneditable or Locked?

Mar 12, 2021

I've been using Storyline since day 1 and I've encountered a new issue this week.  After importing a PPT deck (I've done this a million times with no issues), 1/2 of the slides show up in Story View as blank.  Then I go to edit these pages, and although I can add a box, for instance, to the page, it does not show up until you publish or preview publish, which means you can't see what you're trying to edit in live time, on the time line.  Hope this makes sense.  I'm using Storyline v3.49.24347.0 on a Windows 10 machine with current patches..etc.  Thanks!

Hi, Tim.

Thank you for creating a support case with our team, following Phil's suggestion. I see you're working with my teammate Cleo and you've been sent a few steps to try.

If you have questions on those, please reach out to Cleo through the case. I'll also keep an eye on that case to find out what the issue is.

Thanks folks. Basically, this is a PPT that has quite a bit of gaming to it.  It's about 25 pages long, but a dozen or so pages have about 75+ elements on each.  I had to manually hunt for the elements causing this odd "lock out" on the pages.  I found 3-4 elements on each page that Storyline randomly didn't like, causing the issue.  If I hide these items, I can then interact with the timeline/stage and continue adding triggers...etc.  This is super frustrating and a HUGE time waste.  I had to manually click through hundreds of elements, hide/unhide, just to see if I can add a trigger or box to the screen.  I added at least 1 business day of production to this course due to this flaw.
