Help: Unable to load mobile version of HTML Storyline in Canvas

I have a few questions to make sure I'm understanding what's happening:

1. Just to verify- when you mention HTML, are you talking about the Flash version or the HTML5 output?
2. What version of Storyline are you using?
3. The app you mentioned- is that a Canvas app or are you referring to the Articulate Mobile Player app?

I'm having a similar issue to what Tony described. While I can't answer for Tony, I can answer for me!

1. I am using the HTML5 output.

2. I am using Storyline 3.

3. I am attempting to launch from the Canvas app.

I have tried both publishing for Web and publishing for LMS. I used the instructions in this post. If at all possible, I would prefer that the course display in the Canvas app, rather than require viewers to download and view through the Storyline Mobile Player.

Thanks for those details, Beth! Have you tried testing the published output outside of the Canvas app? 

• If you published for Web, try testing the output in Tempshare.
• If you published for LMS, try testing the output in SCORM Cloud.

The course works fine on Tempshare and in SCORM Cloud (I tried both methods of publication, thinking that maybe one would work when the other didn't). 

Good to know, Beth. It sounds like this is related to the app rather than Storyline itself. I don't have experience specifically with the Canvas app, so I'll leave that in the hands of other Canvas users in the community!

I did want to mention that we're trying out a potential fix for the issue. We're looking at enabling the Canvas SCORM LTI at the institutional level, and seeing if that addresses some of the concerns we've encountered. Here's a link to the Canvas support article that brought this possibility to our attention.

I'm curious if others have tried this fix, and if it solved some of the problems we're encountering.

Canvas is notorious for not playing Storyline. Only workaround I've heard is to publish as HTML5, host elsewhere, and provide a link within Canvas. This, of course, breaks any SCORM/scoring. https://community.canvaslms.com/thread/18089-articulate-storyline-content-in-canvas-mobile-app

Boy I sure would like to pick this thread up and fast too!  DoD is headed to Canvas and I've been directed to see if we can get Storyline's content to run on the platform.  We have plenty of courses to do, so, I'd like to keep Storyline alive.  Hope we can get this resolved.  I'm using SL3 7:3.7.20003.0

As Beth mentioned, it looks like there is an option to upload SCORM content into Canvas LMS. Here is their help guide that provides more details on this process:
