I am creating software walkthroughs with the Step-By-Step View mode screencasts. Previously when I did this I was able to show the text instructions and then the video would play. Today I am noticing that the video plays twice, once during the instructions and once after like it is on a loop for the entire slide despite having the start time set to X seconds into the slide. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for sharing your file! I see you also shared it with our Support team, and my colleague Lea determined that the problem is related to a software bug in the HTML5 output. Fortunately the Flash output works as it should--you can test it out here.
Until we find a fix for this issue, I'd recommend using the Flash output in a Flash-enabled browser. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention, and I'm really sorry it's slowing you down!
Sorry you're hitting this too, Tracy! You're in the right place to stay updated on this bug's progress. We'll post the news here as soon as a fix is released!
Great news! We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes and new features that you'll see in the release notes here.
The item you'll be interested in is how we fixed an issue where hint captions could display at the wrong time in view-mode screen recordings in HTML5 output.
Use the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application to install the update - more details here.
Note: This issues is fixed in Storyline 360, and will be available in Storyline 3 upon release of the next update - date TBD.

Hi Teri. We saw this behavior in Storyline 360 and released an update to address the issue.
Can you tell me what version of Storyline you're using and the update number? You can find this by clicking on Help > About Storyline.

I am using v3.9.13567.0
I installed this on a brand new laptop today to see if it was possibly an issue with my environment, but I am still experiencing the same issue.
Hi Teri,
That is the latest version of Storyline 360 as you can see here. Can you share one of the .story files that's still causing you trouble?
Here is a good example of a course I built today where the issues are happening.
